Alcohol

Alcohol was often warned by the experts can be dangerous for the body and cause various diseases. Even two glasses of alcohol alone can increase the risk of cancer.

A study has shown that drinking two glasses or more alcoholic drinks per day can significantly increase the risk of some cancers.

Previously, guidelines for the NHS (National Health Service) England declared that men should not drink more than 3-4 units of alcohol per day, while women should not be more than the unit in a day.

But new research has found the risk of cancer can be increased even at a lower level than the level that has been recommended in NHS guidelines.

But the researchers also explained that more cancer cases could be prevented if people want to reduce your intake of alcohol at lower levels of the recommended guidelines for the NHS or even stop drinking alcohol altogether.

Esophageal cancer, pharyngeal cancer and voice box cancer is the most commonly caused by alcohol, followed by liver cancer.

Do not just rely on cosmetics or skin care is organized, if you want to look younger. Cultivate positive thoughts also of looking at life.

German scientists uncover, the person’s appearance will look brighter and younger, if you always have an optimistic attitude. Previous research found a reason someone with good genes, looks youthful and has a mind still sharp in old age, is to keep the brain working when I was younger. As with
playing crossword puzzles or other brain training activities.

However, the findings of researchers from the University of Hamburg in Germany is known to focus on positive thoughts and live today, can help a person maintain his mental health. This is rather than looking too far into the future.

According to Drs. Stefanie Brassens, author of the study, aging of the ‘success’ comes from the positive effects. “Trends and positively biased preferences, will be a rewarding emotional experience,” he said as quoted by the Telegraph.co.uk.

To prove this, Dr. Brassens and his team conducted experiments. By looking at the faces of young people and older with various expressions, such as happy faces, sad, fearful or neutral.

In some experiments respondents are asked to be more relaxed. From the records, older respondents show a happier face.

By scanning the brains of respondents, researchers found increased activity in rostral anterior cingulate cortex, parts of the brain that controls emotions. The high level of activity in this brain area, associated with good mental health.

Conclusion of a study published in the Journal of Biological Psychiatry suggests, remain happy and focus on positive thoughts is the key to mental health. With good mental health, the appearance will be brighter and younger.

Disease can indeed come from anywhere. But unwittingly made a habit of everyday can be a trigger illness. Any habit that?

Home is the place of someone doing all sorts of activity and rest. But things are done daily at home was able to trigger a person is sick.

To know that habits are done daily and can cause pain,  namely:

1. Rarely replace sponge (sponge) to wash the dishes
Sponge is a tool used for washing dishes, glasses or other equipment in the kitchen. Because it is used to scrub the dirty objects, then sponge a gathering place for microorganisms such as bacteria. If a person is rarely change it, then the sponge can be a cause of infection.

2. Rarely change the sheets and pillowcases
Every day the dead skin cells and sweat even when not doing anything, including when sleeping. Because of dead skin cells and bacteria from sweat can attach to and accumulate in mattresses and pillows so that trigger infection and respiratory distress. For that change the sheets, pillowcases and clean the mattress regularly.

3. Too often burning flesh
Burning or roasting meats typically use high temperatures that produce compounds polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and heterocyclic amines (HCAs) that can trigger cancer.

4. Not cleaning the air conditioner
The inside of the air conditioner can be an optimal place for various types of fungi and microbes multiply. This is because the area is humid and warm environment. Sometimes when AC turned the spores can spread into the atmosphere, hence the AC should be cleaned regularly.

Mozart

Mozart

componis who created the masterpiece the Sonata in A Minor, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart died young because of ‘Vitamin D Minor’. That is, Mozart is believed to live longer if often in the sun so it is not deficient in vitamin D.

Allegations were based on the fact that the composer who died at the age of 35 years living in Austria, one of the darkest regions in Europe. In this region, the night lasted longer than during the day so that residents do not receive enough sunlight.

Not only that, the literature says that Mozart also prefer to stay up to create the work at night. By day, he spends most of his time to rest in the house so that hardly ever hit the sun.

In fact, sunlight, especially ultraviolet B (UVB) is a very important component in the formation of vitamin D in the body. Someone who rarely got the sun would be deficient in vitamin D so that the body resistance will decrease.

The consequence is experienced by Mozart, who in his lifetime have so many health problems. Almost all diseases have suffered from strep throat, tonsillitis, measles, typhoid fever to the severe impairment of kidney function.

Not only Mozart, supposedly there are plenty of other musicians who also died due to lack of vitamin D. Among British cellist Jacqueline du Pre Mary who died in 1987 at the age of 42 years and the Austrian composer, Gustav Mahler, who died in 1911 at the age of 51 years.

However, Dr. Grant’s allegations published in a paper entitled: Medical Problems of Performing Artists is only a speculation. Since the death until the burial in 1791, Mozart’s body was never autopsied to uncover the exact cause of his dea

 Strawberries

Strawberries

Behind the red color and beautiful shape and the sour taste of fresh, has the benefit strawberries can prevent aging and cancer. A study showed that consumption of strawberries helps increase levels of antioxidants in the blood.

As quoted by the Daily Mail website, the high levels of antioxidants in strawberries has been found to be useful to combat the effects of oxidative stress, reducing the effects of aging and even the possibility of contracting diseases such as cancer, diabetes and heart disease.

Spanish and Italian researchers in a study involving 12 volunteers in good health. They were asked to consume a pound of strawberries for two weeks.

After four, eight, 12 and 16 days ago next month, the volunteers’ blood samples were taken for examination. Having studied and the results published in the journal Chemistry, scientists concluded, eating strawberries regularly can increase antioxidant levels in the blood and also helps prevent red blood cells have hemolysis or red blood cell breakdown process.

Scientists from the University of Marche in Italy and the University of Granada in Spain said, strawberries strength lies in the high content of phenolic compounds, which have antioxidant properties.

According to the researchers, the high content of phenolic compounds is able to alleviate oxidative stress that may occur with increasing age, while exercising or even after childbirth.

Study author Dr. Maurizio Battino, from the Polytechnic University of Marche said: “We have shown that some varieties of strawberries to make erythrocytes more resistant to oxidative stress.

“It could be very important when you consider that this phenomenon can cause serious illness. But most important is the strawberries should be part of a healthy and balanced diet, as one of five servings of fruits and vegetables must be consumed every day.

They also plan to investigate whether similar benefits can be gained after eating more strawberries, such as 150g or 200g, and also want to look at the varieties of strawberries that contain the highest antioxidant.

Dr. Jose Luis Quiles, University of Granada added: “Different varieties of strawberries are also being analyzed in the laboratory, because they each contain antioxidants in amounts and different proportions. For the body has a mechanism to process a very wide range of antioxidants, which work at a level different in each individual.

“It can be a tool that repair oxidized genetic material, or both molecules produced by the body itself or consumed through the diet, which neutralize free radicals,” the researchers said.

Strawberries contain large amounts of phenolic compounds, such as flavonoids, which have antioxidant properties.
